Abstract
An accurate diagnosis is the single most important factor in dealing with
poisoned animals. The offending agent may be known or unknown. Chemical
analysis of biological samples is very important in diagnosis of poisoning. The
diagnostic laboratory requires complete history, clinical signs and post mortem
findings. This information greatly aids the laboratory personnel to decide on the
best course of chemical analysis.
