India is a country with varied cultural, traditional and fine art heritage. It is witnessed in the Srikalahasti temple, which offers intricate and beautiful designs through sensual hand painting techniques known as Kalamkari. Whereas the carvings like metal inlay work with a skilled expertise can be seen in Nampally Bidriware handicraft. These designs need a carrier to bring it out to the world and on the other side the textile world is constantly looking out for new designs. In order to meet these requirements, the study was planned to bring the hand painted sensuality of Kalamkari and tactful metallic texture of Bidriware designs to develop fusion motifs for home textiles through digital process. Traditional designs were collected personally from both Kalamkari and Bidriware from temple, museum and from artisans. Secondary sources like journals, books and internet were also referred. The collected designs were screened into thirty designs for Kalamkari and thirty designs for Bidriware, keeping in mind about their suitability aspect for home textile items and creative latency. A total of forty fusion motifs were developed using these both arts with the help of CorelDraw, Abode Photoshop and 3DS max softwares. Top twenty ranked designs were selected by a panel of experts using a preferential choice index for various parameters. Overall acceptability of fusion motifs was assessed to be 72 percent. A total of three placements were developed for each of five home textile articles like arched valence, cushion cover, fabric ceiling, roman blind and room divider digitally. Developed placements were evaluated considering all the parameters, which are highly accepted by respondents. Top ranked percentages of the home textile placements of arched valence, cushion cover, fabric ceiling, roman blind and room divider are 80.44 percent, 74.22 percent, 83.33 percent, 76.22 percent and 82.44 percent, respectively. Thus the transformation of traditional folk art designs into trendy fusion designs has heightened the range of designing and efficiency to meet the ever changing fashion-design world with high acceptability index
