The most common causes of congestive heart failure are DCM and CMVI. The dogs with symptoms of heart failure were subjected to clinical examination, radiography, electrocardiography, Doppler echocardiography to confirm DCM and CMVI. It was recumbent having severe pain and epistaxis from left nostril. Optic nerve and rectus muscle of the right eye were severed. Optic nerve of left eye was intact, but the ocular muscles were damaged with no pupillary light reflex. Hence, right eye was enucleated and permanent tarsorrhaphy was done. Left eyeball was repositioned and temporary tarsorrhaphy was performed. Computed tomography of the skull revealed blow-out fractures of the pars orbitalis segment of the frontal bone which forms the left medial orbital wall. Fracture of zygomatic bone and medial orbital wall extending to the floor was found on the right side. 3D reconstructed image clearly revealed marked displacement of Pars orbitalis fracture fragment in the left eye, compressing the cerebrum. The clinical presentation is often spectacular and therapy demands some snap decisions based on a solid theoritical knowledge. Some of the common emergencies are pericardial effusion, bradyarrythmias, supraventricular tachycardia and acute congestive failure. Diagnostis aids such as pulse oximetry, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, CVP measurement, electrocardiography, radiography and echocardiography would help in evaluating the criticaly ill patient. While hepatic parenchymal diseases are common, disorders of gall bladder and biliary tree are uncommon in dogs. A rare case of cholecystolithiasis in a Labrador dog and its clinical presentation and outcome was recorded.
