Abstract
A Five year old intact German Shepherd Dog was brought to Madras Veterinary College .
Teaching Hospital with the history of abdominal distension, swelling of the limbs and
scrotum for past one week. Clinical examination revealed ascites, fluid thrill on tactilic
percussion, limb edema, tachycardia and other vital signs were normal. Hematology
showed a decrease platelet count and an increase in TLC.
