Abstract
An experiment was conducted to assess the genetic variability, correlation
coefficient, path coefficient analysis and selection indices in pearl millet [Pennisetum
glaucum (L.) R. Br.] at Instructional Farm, Department of Agronomy, College of
Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh during summer 2021 in
Randomized Block Design with three replications. The characters studied were days to
50% flowering, days to maturity, effective tillers per plant, plant height, ear head length,
ear head girth, ear head weight per plant, number of nodes on stem, grain yield per plant,
1000-grain weight, dry fodder yield per plant, harvest index and threshing index.
The analysis of
