dc.description.abstractAmplification of microsatellite loci using PCR often results in the appearance of non specific products. ‘Touchdown’ programme is a modified PCR programme that reduces co-amplification of spurious products. The article discusses the efficacy of a modified Touchdown program which enhanced the concentration of specific product, while controlling non specific amplification.en_US
