Indian Poultry Industry has grown rapidly at a rate of 15% to 20% during the last two decades and is now a Rs. 65 billion mega-industry providing employment to 1.5 million people. The future is even brighter with a growing domestic market, rapid industrialization and economic liberalization. Several breakthroughs in poultry science and technology have led to development of genetically superior birds capable of high production, even under adverse hot climate.
