An experiment was conducted in Japanese quail by feeding black pepper at 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 per cent level in basal diet for four weeks to study its effect on body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratio. The results of the experiment revealed that dietary inclusion of black pepper had significant influence (P<0.05) on the body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratio of Japanese quail.en_US
