dc.description.abstractIncrease in agricultural production is the key to all-over economic growth. Seed constitutes the main propagate for plant growth. A seed is the initial capital of a plant and has the functions of perpetuation, multiplication and dissemination, which are vital to the plant species lacking vegetative propagation. The research work entitled “Analysis of Consumer Behavior and Entrepreneurial Behavior of Bt. Cotton Growers with Reference To Solar Agrotech Pvt. Ltd.” Total sample size of 160 farmers, 40 dealers and 10 seed industry selected from study area. The statistical tools employed for the data analysis were garrett’s ranking, tabular method, graphical method, least credibility index, entrepreneurial behavior scale and simple percentage analysis. It was observed that farmer most believe on personnel localitie as sources of information like; progressive farmers, neighbor farmers and relatives. In case of entrepreneurial behavior most of cotton growers observed medium level of entrepreneurial behavior in study area. Majority 23.75 per cent farmers motivated for using Dr. seeds due to quality of seeds hence company should maintain quality of seeds. Majority 60.62 per cent farmers will suggest to others farmers for using cotton seeds of Solar Agrotech Pvt. It also found that most of 18.12 per cent farmers switched brand due quality of seeds good of Solar Agrotech Pvt. In case of reasons for rising sale were farmers meeting and promotional scheme held by the company. Major problems faced by the seed industry were high investment in research and development and season fluctuation with means score of 74 and 67 respectively. High price of inputs observed main problems faced by the farmers with means score of 60.1 in study area.en_US
