On the basis of the results obtained in this study the following conclusions have been drawn: 1. Autogenouscancellous tissues employed locally in the treatment of compound fracture enhancesosteogenesis, which facilitates union in optimal time by the growth of compact, firm osseous tissue. 2. Collection of cancellous material from the rib is easy and devoid of any expenditure and major intervention on animal’s body. Thus it can be practiced widely in rural condition. 3. Since cancellous tissue contains maximum number of osseous cells and occupies interfragmentary space, it initiates better neo-osteogenesis. 4. Homogenous decalcified tissue appeared to be good as supporting tissue and thus it evidenced better osteoinductive property. 5. Doth the bone inducers appeared to shorten the healing phase in compound fracture but autogenouscancellous chips are superior to the homogenous decalcified tissue. 6. Notwithstanding the relative merits of osteoinduction, both the biological materials appear to possess the capability to proclule infection during the healing of compound fracture in goats.en_US
