dc.description.abstractThe present study was aimed to know the conception rate in the grazing animals of Madras Red Sheep when fed with limited concentrate. In this 30 of 2-6 years ewes were grouped into three, first group (Control) was reared only on grazing, second group was fed with 10% of its DM requirement, and third group was fed with 20% of its DM requirement as concentrate feed for 14 days prior to breeding season (off season - February). In this 8, 6 and 6 were exhibited oestrous symptoms and 3, 4 and 4 animals were conceived in the respective groups and the conception rate was significantly higher (P<0.05) in the supplemented groups.en_US
