Abstract
Wound healing is the proeess of repair that follows injury to the skin and other soft tissues as a connective tissue response depending upon the type of wound. Initial stages of wound healing involve an acute inflammatory phase followed by synthesis of collagen and other extracellular matrix which are later remodeled to form scar. It is a complex sequence of events including inflammation, migration and remodeling, resulting in closure of the wound.
