Abstract
The incidence of infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT) in India was
first reported about a decade back by Singh et al (1964) and later
many other workers (Panda and Singh, 1967; Mallick et al., 1967
and Prasad and Maiik. 1968) characterised the virus No published
report on the isolation of ILT virus in Tamil Nadu is available.
This paper describes the isolation of ILT virus from birds which
showed respiratory distress in the Poultry Unit of District Livestock
Farm, I-Iosur.
