Abstract
Leptospirosis as an important cause of
abortion in horses has been recognised
(Faine, 1982). Though Ieptospiral abortions
have been recorded in c0ws,4buffaIoes and
sheep in Tamil Nadu (Venkataraman, 1991
and 1993), repons in horses are meagre.
The present paper describes the Ieptospiral
abortion in a mare.
