Cattle are the main source and natural reservoir of infection by the virus. The diagnosis of bovine papillomatosis was confirmed by clinical examinations of the warts. Thirteen animals reported to Veterinary Clinical Complex were selected for the study. The prevalence was found to be higher in the females (76%) than males (25%). The incidence was highest above one year old (84.61%).with various sizes of pedunculated, multiple, cutaneous warts on various parts of the body including udder and teats. All animals were subjected to surgical excision of growths under xylazine sedation and 2% lignocaine local infiltration by taking all aseptic precautions. Collected wart samples were subjected to autovaccine preparation using 0.5ml of 10% formalin. All cattle were treated with 10 ml of autovaccine by intramuscular route for 5 weeks on weekly interval. Regression study was carried out every week. Ten out of thirteen cases showed regression at 4th week (76.92%) 0ne out of thirteen cases showed regression at 5th week (7.69%). Complete regression was noticed on 5th week (61.53%) in eight animals and 6th week (23.07%) in three animals. Ophthalmic examination revealed chronic deep corneal ulcer on the left eye. The presented case was successfully treated with temporary tarsorrhaphy and medical management. The number of swellings and the affected sites were increasing in regular intervals. On fine needle aspiration, clear fluid of water like consistency was obtained revealing cyst. The multiple cysts located in various parts of the body in the same animal were surgically excised without causing rupture of the cyst wall or spillage of the cystic fluid. Per vaginal examination revealed, multiple vaginal masses cranial to the urethral orifice with patent urethral opening. Vaginal masses were surgically excised after episiotomy and panhysterectomy was performed to avoid recurrence. Histologically the masses were confirmed as vaginal fibroma.ArticleItem Open Access Nasal Osteosarcoma in a Non - Descript Dog(Indian Veterinary Journal, 2016-12) Gopal, K.; Balachandran, C.; Vairamuthu, S.; Pazhanivel, N.; Jayaprakash, R.; Kokila, S.; TANUVASA 12 year old non - descript maledog was brought to the Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital, with the history of swelling on the nasal bridge and respiratory distress for the past three months. Clinical examination revealed a tumour mass involving the whole nasal bridge and extending into the oral cavity. Radiological examination revealed sunburst appearance of tumour mass attached to the nasal bone. Fine-Needle Aspiration Biopsy (FNAB) showed round to oval cells scattered singly with moderate amount of basophilic vacuolated cytoplasm. Gross examination revealed metastatic lesions in the lung and spleen. Histologically, the tumour mass revealed pleomorphic to fusiform neoplastic cell population with deposition of osteoid and numerous mitotic gures. Clinical examination revealed a rm gray white mass on the left lateral commissure of the mouth. Cytological examination revealed individual to multiple benign clusters of squamous cells. Based on the clinical examination the condition was diagnosed as enterocolic intussusception. Midline celiotomy was performed and intussusception was manually reduced.
