Abstract
A pony was reported with sharp metal sheet induced traumatic oblique cut at the hoof region. On examination, it was observed that there was severing of three arteries of hoof. Arterial bleeding can be fatal and requires ligation. Being a hard surface, the case was managed clinically with thermocautery and pressure bandage application. The wound and arteries were completely restored and healed by 20th day. The animal resumed normancy.
