Abstract
Twelve blood samples from healthy buffaloes and six samples each in pneumonia, pericarditis, mastitis and metritis were collected from buffaloes for finding out the levels of plasma fibrinogen, protein, PP : F ratio and total and differential leucocyte counts. Mean fibrinogen level was found to be 5.72 g/l in healthy buffaloes. Mean PP : F ratio was found to be 14.71 : 1 in healthy buffaloes. Plasma fibrinogen level increased significantly in all the five diseases studied unlike the total and differential leucocyte counts.
