Abstract
Ear mange infestation caused by Psoroptes cuniculi is a very common and widespread problem in rabbit colonies. Psoroptes cuniculi infestation becomes serious, if left untreated. Due to the irrational use of ivermectin, there is decreased ef cacy. To overcome this ill-effect, Acorus calamus based herbal preparation was tried. This was applied for two weeks on alternate days. Three weeks after therapy, improvement was observed which was recorded as dryness of ear lesions, falling of scabs and reduced itching sensation
