Abstract
Ear mange infestation caused by Psoroptes
cuniculi is a very common and widespread
problem in rabbit colonies. Psoroptes cuniculi
infestation becomes serious, if left untreated.
Due to the irrational use of ivermectin, there is
decreased ef cacy. To overcome this ill-effect,
Acorus calamus based herbal preparation was
tried. This was applied for two weeks on alternate
days. Three weeks after therapy, improvement
was observed which was recorded as dryness of
ear lesions, falling of scabs and reduced itching
sensation
