dc.description.abstractThe field and laboratory experiments were carried out to study “Effect of GA3 and BA on growth, flowering, yield and post-harvest parameters in lily”. The field experiment was conducted at Horticulture Research Farm, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India during 2015. Different concentrations of GA3 and BA were given in lily (100,150 and 200 ppm) with single and double dose along with control. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with three replications. On the basis of above findings it can be concluded that application of GA3 and BA was beneficial in improving plant growth, flowering yield and post-harvest vase life parameters in lily. Application of GA3 100 (single dose) was found better than other treatments for various growth and bulb parameters whereas, treatment BA 100 ppm single dose was found effective to improve flowering and post-harvest life of lily flower.en_US
