Infectious bursal disease (IBD) has been reported increasingly from all parts of the world as an emerging health problem of poultry. The antibodies to IBD virus has been identified in India (Jayaramiah and Mallick, 1974). Serological tests like agar gel immuno diffusion test (AGID), immunofluorescence have been employed to detect antibodies. The present work has employed AGID and counter immunoelectrophoresis (CIE) in the detection of lBD antigen in the tissues of suspected birds.en_US
