Abstract
Mortality in sheep and goats is caused by various types of illness and diseases of
either specific or non-specific nature. Attempt has been made to categorise the causes
of mortality in Madras Red sheep and Tellicherry Goats from 1990-94 based on the
mortality records and postmortem findings at Livestock Research Station, TANUV AS,
Kattupakkam.
