dc.description.abstractKanni, a sight-hound breed of dog is maintained in parts of Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Virudhunagar Districts of Tamil Nadu. This breed was used for hunting in the past. A study was taken up to know the impact of Wildlife conservation measures especially ban on hunting on the number, quality and status of the Kanni dogs.en_US
