Abstract
Coccidiosis, which is caused by obligate, intracellular, protozoan parasites of the genus Eimeria, is one of the major problems for poultry industry and has been known for over 130 years. The Indian poultry sector has become a major contributor to the national economy as a result of the revolutionary and scientific approaches in avian health care management.
