Abstract
Nanotechnology (Nano dwarf) is the
engineering of functional systems at the
molecular scale. The National Nanotechnology
initiative (NNI), a government initiative in the
USA, describes nanotechnology as: ‘research
and development (R&D) aimed at
understanding and working with seeing,
measuring and manipulating matter at the
atomic, molecular and supramolecular levels
(NSTC, 2004).
