dc.description.abstract | Genus Theileria, the intracellular parasite and Genus Anaplasma, the intracellular rickettsia cause the diseases Theileriosis and Anaplasmosis respectively in animals. They are transmitted by ticks and affect a wide range of domestic and wild animals. Anaplasma marginale chiefly affects cattle and causes mortality as high as 80 per cent (Soulsby, 1968). Reports on concurrent infection of anaplasmosis and theileriosis in cattle are very scarce. This paper details one such incidence of concurrent Theileriosis and Anaplasmosis in crossbred cows . | en_US |
