dc.description.abstractKetosis can cause economic losses through decreased milk production in bovines especially high yielding cows. The study of prevalence rate due to ketosis in milch cows are very much important and can help in providing overall view of the impact of this disease. Prevalence is usually expressed in terms occurrence of the number of diseased animals in relation to the number of animals in the population at risk. For the present study, 30 farmers were selected from three blocks out of‘ which 15 in Namakkal district through multistage random sampling technique with the objective to calculate prevalence rate.en_US
