An experiment was conducted to study the influence of fortification of mulberry leaf with plant extract on performance of Bombyx mori.L. The silkworm (PMxCSR2) reared on mulberry leaves sprayed with aqueous extract of Cucumis sativus at 6 per cent concentration recorded significantly maximum food consumption (80.02 to 123.57), food digestion (48.72 to 56.44), consumption index (0.98 to 0.467), growth rate (0.401 to 0.316), efficiency of converstion of ingested food (40.56 to 29.12), efficiency of conversation of digested food (67.32 to 66.61), approximate digestibility (61.31 to 46.55) during fifth instar larvae. Similarly sikworms reared on mulberry leaves sprayed with plant extracts exhibited significant differences with respect to economic traits and disease incidence. However, larval weight (2.94g), ERR (97.28 %), cocoon weight (1.79g), shell weight (0.312g), pupal weight (1.48g), shell ratio (17.70%), silk productivity (4.58cg/day), filament length (983.86m) and filament weight (0.252g) were significantly maximum in C. sativus, besides reducing the larval duration (6.89 days) and disease incidence (2.59%) compared to other treatments. The order of plant extract which induced favourable effects on growth and development, food consumption indices and economic triats in mulberry silkworms (PMXCSR2) is Cucumis sativus > Emhlica officinalis > Citrus lemon (Linn.) Burm.f >Ocimum sanctum L.+ Curcuma longa L.> Allium sativum L.+ Curcuma longa L> Cicer arietinum L.en_US
