Experiment was conducted during Kharif 2016 and 2017 at KVK Chamarajanagara to study the effect of micronutrients application under different fertilizer prescriptions on performance of Bt cotton. Experimental design adopted was RCBD with three replications and 13 treatments comprising foliar and soil application of micronutrients mixture (MNM) under University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS(B)) and Site Specific Nutrient Management (SSNM) method of NPK recommendation. Results of pooled data revealed that foliar application of MNM (Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn @ 0.3 % each and B @ 0.2 %) at 80 – 100 DAS with NPK recommendation as per SSNM and UAS(B) recorded seed cotton yield of 2329 and 2215 kg ha-1, respectively which was significantly higher than all other treatments. The uptake of major and secondary nutrients followed similar trend as that of yield. Significantly higher uptake of Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu and B was recorded in T9: SSNM + MNM foliar application (2309.15, 639.36, 182.52, 157.23 and 447.89 g ha-1, respectively). Significantly higher post-harvest soil NPK status was recorded in treatment T6: UAS(B) recommendation + Soil application of MNM (180.68 kg ha-1 ), T2:UAS(B) (59.45 kg ha-1) and T11: SSNM+ Zn and B soil application (284.15 kg ha-1 ), respectively. The DTPA extractable Fe, Mn and B content were significantly higher in T3 (4.12, 5.14 and 0.30 mg kg-1 respectively), whereas Zn and Cu content were higher in T5: UAS(B) recommendation+ soil application of Zn and B (1.18 mg kg-1) and T12: SSNM+ Soil application of MNM (2.39 mg kg-1), respectively. Thus, application of fertilizers based on SSNM with micronutrient spray is more beneficial in enhancing economic yield of Bt cotton.en_US
