Abstract
A six-year-old Mecheri ewe at Mecheri Sheep Research Station, Pottaneri, was presented with a history of protrusion on the fore head in between the eyes. The swelling was irregularly shaped, cauliower-like and ulcerated. The exposed surface had an unpleasant smell and was covered by black keratinous exudates. Histopathological examination revealed inltrating islands of neoplastic squamous epithelium extending through the basal lamina of the epithelium with keratin pearls and was diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma.
