Abstract
A six-year-old Mecheri ewe at Mecheri Sheep Research Station, Pottaneri, was presented with a history of protrusion on the fore head in between the eyes. The swelling was irregularly shaped, cauliower-like and ulcerated. The exposed surface had an unpleasant smell and was covered by black keratinous exudates. Histopathological examination revealed inltrating islands of neoplastic squamous epithelium extending through the basal lamina of the epithelium with keratin pearls and was diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma.
