Abstract
Enterolithiasis remains an important and common cause for colic in horses throughout the
world. Excessive levels of dietary magnesium,
nitrogen and phosphorus have been considered
to contribute to. enterolith formation because
struvite is the predominant component of
enteroliths (Hassel et al., 2001).
