Neosporosis is primarily a disease of dogs and cattle. The causative Qrganism, Neospora caninum, is a coccidian parasite infecting a wide range of wild and domestic animals which act as intermediate host. Rodents serve as a potential reservoir for the protozoa in environment. The purpose of this study was to detect the presence of N. caninum in feral rat population by parasitological, serological and molecular assays.en_US
