Abstract
A total of 344 faecal samples and 145 blood samples were collected from live sheep and goats at large animal clinics (Med), Department of Clinics, Madras Veterinary College (MVC), slaughter houses, private sheep and goat farms of Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram. A total of 125 tissue samples were collected from slaughter house at
Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kaneliipuram districts. PCR also performed to know the species of the G1 parasites.
