The present investigation entitled “Effect of integrated nutrient management on growth and seed yield of cowpea [Vigna unguiculata (L.)Walp.]” The experimental trial was carried out through kharif season of the year 2018-19 at Horticultural Research Instructional Farm, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.). The experiment was carried out with RBD with 12 treatments and 3 replications. All treatments exhibited have good growth, and yield. A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the possible effect of integrated nutrient management on growth and yield of cowpea. The experiment was carried out under randomized block design (RBD) with three replicates. The important parameters encompassed in the study were various growth and yield attributes. viz. plant height (cm), number of branches plant-1, number of leaves plant-1, Fresh weight of the roots (g), Dry weight of the roots (g), Number of nodules plant -1, Number of pods plant-1 , Pod length (cm), Number of seeds per plot , Seed yield per plot (kg) , Seed yield per hectare ( qt ) in cowpea. The data clearly showed that the treatment. The highest plant height was recorded during harvesting by the treatment T8 (101.6) number of branches by treatments T8 (13.6), no. of leaves highest T8 (37.6), fresh weight of roots T8 (148), dry weight of roots T12 (106.6), no. of nodules high in treatment T12 (22.6), number of pods T8 (13.6), pod length by the treatment T8 (29.5), number of seeds / pod T12 (12.6), followed by T8 (12.3), seed yield / plot in g T11 (415), seed yield / hectare T8 (4.15). Although all the treatments revealed significantly positive effect on growth and seed yield but, T8 showed most significant effect on all attributes except yield while treatment T11 showed most significant effect on seed yield under study as compared to control T1. Therefore, treatment T8 i.e. half dose of NPK ha-1+ FYM @ 5t ha-1+ Rhizobium @ 500g + PSB@ 2.5 kg ha-1 is best to enhance the growth and seed yield of cowpea.en_US
