| dc.description.abstract | The study was conducted in Davanagere district of Karnataka during the year 2017- 18. Total 80 number of input dealers were selected as a sample for the study, out of them 40 trained and 40 untrained input dealers were randomly selected. The present study revealed that 45.00 per cent and 57.50 per cent of trained dealers had high level of knowledge and diagnostic skills respectively. About 50.00 per cent and 55.00 per cent of untrained dealers had medium level of knowledge and diagnostic skills respectively. Education, mass media use, extension contact, extension participation, social participation and scientific orientation had significant relationship with level of knowledge and diagnostic skills of trained dealers. Education, mass media use, extension contact and social participation had significant relationship with level of knowledge and diagnostic skills of untrained dealers. Regarding opinion of DAESI training majority of the trained dealers opinioned training content is very good (92.50 %) followed by training methodology (85.00%) and facilities (80.00%). More number of trainees suggested to increase the class room session’s (95.00%), conduct the classes more in the field (80.00%) and to give more importance to display the specimens chart related to nutrient deficiency, insect damage and disease symptoms in the training hall (70.00%). | en_US |
