Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is a major cause of economic losses in poultry and can be involved in respiratory disease, nephritis, and both poor egg production and quality. IBV is still a problem in the poultry industry in India. The viral genome is under a continuous evolution due to strong point mutation, strong selective pressure and recombination, these lead to Wide genetic diversity and the generation of new variants of this virus. Hence, it is important to know the nature of IBV prevalent in a place to plan the IB control strategy. Complete genome sequencing of Indian IBV would give a Wider Spectrum of understanding of the nature of the IBV prevalent in India and this would in turn help to know the nature of the IBV circulating in India.en_US
