Meat-type Japanese quails were reared on deep litter and in cages upto 10 weeks of age. The relative performance and economics of rearing them uptc 5,6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 weeks of age were studied. Cage rearing had resulted in better body weight gain, feed efficiency, net feed efficiency index and net income over expenditure than litter reared quails.en_US
