Abstract
The chilli (Capsicum annum L.) is an important vegetable cum spice
crop of India and grown extensively in south Gujarat area. Since 2004 the fruit rot
caused by Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissler, adversly inflicting considerable
losses in the yield and quality of chilli in the area. Considering the seriousness of
the problem the present investigations on various aspects were carried out in
Department of Plant Pathology, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural
University, Anand.
