Abstract
The fundic glands of the buffalo were straight branched tubular glands. The surface epithelium lined by tall columnar to cuboidal cells. The glandular portion consisted of mucous neck cells, chief cells, two types of parietal cells, three types of argentaffin cells and some vacuolated cells. The cell population increased as the age advanced.
