Abstract
Omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFA) especially eicosa pentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosa hexaenoic acid (DHA) can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and enhance development of brain and visual acuity in infants. In this context manipulation of diet of milk producing animals to enhance the concentration of EPA and DHA in livestock products in highly relevant.
