Abstract
Women, who Constitute nearly hair of the available human resources. in India, are the most deprived and the long neglected sections of our society. The deprivation gets acute with their poverty and Socio-economic backwardness. In ancient India, women had no less than divine status of Lakshmi, Durga and Saraswati, - the Goddesses of economic prosperity, power and wisdom. respectively. A very popular ancient scripture declare that God lives where women are respected.
