A qualitative assay to optimize the level of concentration of aqueous and hydro alcoholic leaf extracts of T inospora cordifolia in inducing death on tumor cell line MCF-7 was conducted in-vilro at various concentrations of the extracts along with a positive and a negative control and their effect analysed by flow cytometry. The results revealed programmed cell death in the treatment groups compared with the positive control suggesting the lethal effect on the tumor cells increasing at highest concentration of the hydro-alcoholic extract. However it is suggested to study on the incubation period and the active principle identification before recommending for anticancer activity.en_US
