Abstract
A three-year-old male Pug dog was brought to the veterinary clinic with the history of skin lesions. Gross examination revealed bilateral symmetrical ulcerated plaques with erythematous papules in the axillary region and multifocal well demarcated plaques with erythematous papules on the ventral part of the abdomen. Microscopic examination revealed mild hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis and acanthosis. Multifocal mineralization with complete replacement of the collagenous connective tissue fibers and hair follicles in the dermis was seen. The case was confirmed as calcinosis cutis and this was further confirmed by von Kossa stain.
