Nanotechnology has emerged as an important tool to control plant pathogens keeping in mind, the current study is focused on synthesis and characterisation of myco-synthesized Copper oxide nanoparticles. We analysed antifungal activity of CuO NPs and its effect on brinjal, tomato, rice and pigeon pea plants. Synthesis was carried out by precipitation method while characterization is done using various techniques including UV-Vis, FTIR, SEM, EDX, XRD and TEM. Its antifungal activity was checked against six different fungal pathogens including Alternaria sp., Bipolaris sp., Botrytis sp., Curvularia sp., Fusarium sp., and Helminthosporium sp. Poisoned food technique, mycelial weight method and Cavity slide method are used to check its antifungal properties. To determine its effect on brinjal, tomato, rice and pigeon pea, seeds treated with copper oxide nanoparticles were grown on paper roll towel and results were interpreted. Above results showed copper nanoparticle acts as an important tool for the control of fungal diseases.
