dc.description.abstractThe Bargur breed of cattle is primarily a hilly draught breed of Tamilnadu. Bargur cattle are medium sized animals. They are red coloured with varying extent of white markings. They are semi-wild and hardy to handle. The information of habitat, distribution and population status would help in decision making regarding conservation. Hence, the present study was taken up with the objective of getting information on distribution and population status of Bargur cattle.en_US
