Abstract
In chickens experimentally infected with Eimeria necatrix, anorexia, drooping oi wings, roughening of feathers, depression and bloodtinged taeces were the salient clinical signs observed. The clinicopathological parameters showed the ieatu res of severe anaemia. Haematological studies in infected chickens showed marked decrease in haemoglobin and packed cell volume. Similarlythere was marked reduction in total serum protein as well as in serum albumin and serum globulin levels. However no changes in serum glucose was observed while the cholesterol level was markedly elevated in the infected birds.
