The distribution of macro and micronutrients in soils of Kirnapur Block, Balaghat District" was conducted, and it is located at 21.37°N, 80.20°E. It has an elevation of 295 metres on average. The total geographical area of Kirnapur Block is approximately 881 km2.Total 50 soil samples were collected from various locations throughout the Block. Soil samples were collected and tested for various physico-chemical properties such as Bulk density, Particle density, Water holding capacity, Porosity, pH, EC, OC and macronutrients such as N, P, K, S and also micronutrients such as Zn, Mn, Fe, Cu using standard analytical methods. The soil nutrient index values of the Kirnapur Block were low for nitrogen, potassium, Sulphur and Zinc, whereas medium for Phosphorus, Copper, Manganese, and Iron. The spatial variability map of nutrients also clearly indicate its distribution pattern in the sampled soil Because of the Balaghat District Cropping pattern is Rice-fallow-Fallow / Rice-Rice-Fallow. It has also been a significant factor in driving farmers toward a dangerous situation that urgently needs for a solution and the largest rice-growing region is Balaghat.en_US
