dc.description.abstractFoetal death during the middle or last one third of gestation with failure of corpus luteum regression and abortion within a week or 10 days or decomposition or maceration of foetus within next several months, followed by autolytic changes, absorption of placental and foetal fluids, involution of maternal placenta leads to mummification. A non- descriptive primiparous doe was presented to the Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital with the history of continuous straining for past 6 h without further progression. On general examination, all clinical parameters were within normal range.en_US
