Abstract
Four year old female Rajapalayam dog was brought to the Madras Veterinary
College Teaching Hospital with the history of reduced feed intake, dull and
severe respiratory distress. Clinical examination revealed rapid shallow
breathing and muffled heart sound. Haematology examination revealed Hb
13.4 g/dl, PCV 40.3%, RBC 6.23 m/cmm, WBC 20,500/cmm and Platelets
1,52,000/cmm
