Rosemary is a woody, perennial herb. The herb is known to induce relaxation of the bronchial smooth muscle and intestinal smooth muscle along with reduction in leukotrienes and increased PGE2 production, inhibition of lipid peroxidation, and inhibition of the complement. It is particularly known to have anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammatory abnormalities are a large group of disorders that underlie a variety of human diseases. The immune system is often involved with inflammatory disorders, demonstrated in both allergic reactions and some myopathies, with many immune system disorders resulting in abnormal inflammation. The following docking study was performed on the active ingredients in Rosemary that give the herb its anti-inflammatory property. The dock scores were analysed and the best active ingredient-target interactions identified.en_US
