Abstract
Genome is the total genetic content present in a
haploid set of chromosomes as well as membrane bound
organelle (such as mitochondria, chloroplast) in eukaryotes, a
single chromosome as well as plasmids in bacteria, or the
DNA or RNA of viruses. In English-language, neologism-
omics informally refers to a field of study in biology ending in
the suffix —omics. Genomics is a study of an organism's
entire genome.
